ANINE KIRSTEN

I am an artist, inventor, industrial designer, and Creative Director specializing in objects at the intersection of technology, art, and human interaction.

After nearly a decade working as a product designer in South Africa, I relocated to Lisbon, shifting my focus from mass manufacturing to the creation of bespoke, interactive objects. In my current practice, I treat light, technology, colour, and geometry as core structural components. Drawing heavily on my experience with industrial manufacturing processes, engineering, and electronics, I design pieces that transform physical spaces into captivating experiences. From installations to sensory tech-art collaborations, I create work meant to be felt as much as it is seen.
